We get it—an upset stomach is no good for your pup. That’s why our products are formulated to be easily digestible but just as delicious. Specifically, our chews have been third-party tested to ensure high digestibility.
If you’re looking for the top in class of digestible chews, our beefhide Collagen Chews are treated with Digest-a-Boost, a proprietary formula that helps break down collagen fibers. Ultimately, this helps dogs digest about 25% faster than they would with traditional beefhide chews.

It can be overwhelming to decide what ingredients are best for your dog’s diet. Here’s a quick breakdown of the common ones you’ll find in our stuff:
Collagen
Collagen is a structural animal protein that makes up most of an animal’s connective tissue. Just like in humans, collagen promotes healthy skin, a shiny head—ahem, coat—of hair, and more. Learn more about collagen here.
Beefhide
Unlike the more generic rawhide, beefhide refers to hide exclusively from cattle that is cleaned, dried, and shaped into your dog’s favorite chews.
Vegetables, beans, and fruits
We love to add a mixture of fruit and veggies that support your pup’s health to select products. Some of the common ones you’ll see are sweet potatoes, chickpeas, and berries.
Mixed tocopherols
Sounds a little scary, but we promise it’s not! These are just natural preservatives derived from vitamin E to keep flavor fresh and protect products from going rancid.
-
Collagen is a great source of protein for pups with numerous health benefits (did we mention the shiny coat?). Plus, it’s a highly digestible alternative to some of the other protein sources commonly found in chews and treats.
-
Rawhide is the more general umbrella term that refers to dried, cleaned, and shaped hide from bovines and equines whereas beefhide is a more specific hide derived only from cattle.
If you want to know exactly what kind of protein your dog is eating, you may want to choose beefhide.
-
Our 100% USA made beefhide is made from start to finish here in the United States. That means it’s sourced from USA raised cattle, and processed in our factory in Mundelein, Illinois.
American sourced beefhide is sourced from USA cattle but may be processed in a facility outside of the country, such as the factory we partner with in Mexico.
-
Yes! Beefhide is just as safe to chew as the more generic rawhide. As with every chew, we recommend always supervising your dog while they enjoy it to reduce choking hazards.
-
Nope. Treatly beefhide products are made with either hand rolled or braided hide. This results in some fun shapes—like bones, wraps, etc.
-
Our “rawhide alternative” chews refer to several different products made with some sort of alternative to traditional rawhide. Here’s a quick breakdown:
Beef Cheeks: These chews are made from beefhide that comes directly from the face and neck of the cow and tends to be richer in collagen.
Collagan Health Support Chews: Made with reconstituted beefhide, these chews are highly digestible and easier on your dog’s body. We also often pair this with super ingredients that help keep ‘em healthy!
IncrediChews: What you’re probably more familiar with when it comes to a rawhide alternative chew, these are 100% rawhide-free and made entirely with a hard meat and vegetable base, similar in texture to reconstituted collagen beefhide.
PlantWise Chew: Like the name implies, these chews are entirely plant-based and vegan for dogs that need extra fiber or for when you want to switch up chew types.

Most of our treats and chews are entirely grain-free and gluten-free. For pups that are on a gluten-free diet but can still eat rice, all our dog chews are suitable. However, we do have two products that contain barely. This special grain has a low glycemic index and is high in fiber, protein, magnesium, and iron. It’s a great addition to most dog diets but if your pup has a grain allergy, it’s best to avoid. You can find it in:
- Treatly Goodies Soft Baked Dog Treats with Collagen: Beef & Barley Recipe
- Treatly Soft Baked Trainers with Collagen: Beef & Barley Recipe
-
That means the product, and all the ingredients, are entirely derived from natural sources.
-
We don’t use any glues or chemical adhesives in our products.
-
“Upcycled ingredients” are anything initially meant for human consumption that would have otherwise gone unused. This is a great way for us to not only pack our products full of wholesome stuff, but also combat food waste in the production system.
You can learn more about why we’re upcycled certified here.
-
Miscanthus grass is a perennial plant with a TON of fiber. Not only does it help regulate gut health and improve your pup’s fecal score, but its production uses 98% less water than typical insoluble fiber sources, making it more eco-friendly.
-
Our marinated products have been set in a marinade, allowing the flavor to fully penetrate the chew. This results in a longer-lasting flavor for your dog. Our coated products have been covered in flavor after they’ve been set, meaning there’s less flavor on the inside but more on the outside—great for picky pets.
-
When in doubt, call your vet! If you feel that your precious pup is reacting to anything, reach out to your vet’s office ASAP and stop using the chew or product you think is responsible.

Along with flavor, the shape and thickness of USA sourced beefhide results in a strong yet enjoyable texture. It’ll keep your dog satisfied for longer than generic alternatives.
-
We like to think of chews as a regular yet special part of your pup’s routine and treats as a snack with a purpose.
Let’s say you want something to help with plaque and tarter that still makes ‘em feel special? Try a chew. If you’re training a new puppy or rewarding good boy behavior, a treat may be the better option. Ideally, every dog is getting a mix of both!
-
We don’t recommend using chews for training because they’re much larger and longer lasting. Treats are more effective for training ‘cause they’re quick, flavor-packed snacks to easily reinforce ideas for your pup.
-
Chews are more like a safe, chewable toy than a food to include in their diet. One or two hours of chewing each day should be plenty for your pup!
-
You want to choose a chew that is big and thick enough to prevent your pup from ripping off, and possibly choking on, small chunks. Fortunately, we have many sizes and shapes to choose from!
-
It depends on your dog’s chewing habits! After your pup has enjoyed a chew for a while, we recommend removing it and letting it stand in a cool place to dry out again. Once your pup has enjoyed it to the point that it’s much smaller or “choke-able,” you may want to throw it away.
If there is any sign of mold or bugs having got to a chew, it’s time to say goodbye to it.
-
The process of drying out the beefhide results in a stiff chew. But don’t worry, as your dog chews, their saliva will moisten and soften the hide.
-
Yes! In fact, our chews are a great way to support the health of their teeth by fighting plaque and tarter build-up.
-
Pet owners are VERY aware of a dog’s desire to chew—especially puppies! Giving them a beefhide or safe chewable toy makes ‘em happy and helps keep ‘valuables (like your furniture or shoes) free from bite marks.
-
Our plant-based treats and chews are high in fiber and oh so great for gut health, meaning they’re perfect for nearly any pup. But they’re especially good for dogs with protein sensitivities who still want to enjoy much-deserved snacks.
-
Because our chews are more of an activity and less of a consumable, we don’t list the calories on our packaging. However, you can estimate the calories that a chew may have with this handy formula:
Weight (in ounces) x 99 = total chew calories or
Weight (in grams) x 3.4 = total chew calories
You will find calorie information on the packaging of our treats, though!
We recommend working directly with your vet to choose the best products for your dog, especially if they are following a weight-loss plan.
-
Woof. As in, yikes! Please do not replace your dog’s supplements or medications with our products. Our treats and chews are meant to be a healthy addition to their diet but cannot replace their current regime as directed by your vet.
-
It’s best to keep our treats and chews sealed between uses and stored in a cool, dry place—like the pantry or garage. That includes chews that your pup hasn’t finished yet.
-
Never say never! Our products are just for dogs, but we may expand our portfolio in the future.
MANUFACTURING & PACKAGING
-
Yes! All our treats and chews are tested for pathogens.
-
No, we don’t use any bleach in our manufacturing process.
-
A large portion of our products are sourced right here in the United States. Otherwise, we source the highest-quality ingredients from around the world and work with three factories for packaging/processing in Illinois, Mexico, and Thailand.
-
Yes. Each of the three factories we work with is certified by the Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI).
-
The above third-party organizations have strict standards for ensuring that our manufacturing facilities meet national and international standards for food safety.
The Global Food Safety Initiative (GFSI) sets globally recognized standards to ensure food product safety across the global supply chain, which sets the standard for benchmark programs such as the Safe Quality Food (SQF) Program.
